My Story


My Personal Side

  • Married to a loving and supportive husband.
  • Proud Mother of three grown children, two daughers and one son.
  • Adoring Grandmother of five grandsons and three granddaughters.
  • Raised in Orillia Ontario and spent every summer on Otter Lake in the beautiful scenic area of Parry Sound Ontario.
  • Moved to Brighton, Ontario in 1984 and have put down my roots in the best area of South Eastern Ontario, enjoying the lakes, rivers and country side, the excellent musicians that thrive in this area and all the caring, community minded people that live in this close knit community.

My Professional Side

  • Started my professional career as a bookkeeper for my family’s Denture Therapy business.
  • Worked in Administration in Accounts and Billing at Scarborough General Hospital.
  • Worked in many departments at the Owen Sound General and Marine Hospital including, Operating Room Ward Clerk, Payroll, Discharge Planning and then Intake Secretary for the Crisis Intervention Team.
  • Worked at the Brampton Peel Memorial Hospital in the Personnel Department and Health Unit.
  • Worked as a self-employed Bookkeeper for local companies in Northumberland and Hastings counties for many years.
  • Was Owner/ Shareholder of Visionary Drive Systems Ltd and Branch Electric Motor Services (Cobourg) Ltd.
  • Owned and operated Eastern Temporary Personnel Agency in Brighton.
  • Took the Palliative Care Course with Hospice Quinte and assisted patients and their families with end of life care.
  • Employed with Weaver Family Funeral Homes (2008 – 2014) and was professionally trained in all aspects of funeral service. Recently left to enhance my career being able to provide celebrations of life in any Funeral Chapel, or a specific venue of a family’s choosing.
  • Certified as a Funeral Celebrant, Life Tribute Specialist by The In-Sight Institute. (2009)
  • Certified as a Grief and Loss Edu-therapy specialist by the Grief Institute and Edu-therapy Solutions Inc. (2012)
  • Ordained in the Province of Ontario as a Minister with Celebrating Life Ministries. (2015)

 Passionate Side

  • I thrive on assisting people in all areas of life celebrations it is not a job it is my calling.
  • I am flexible and dedicated to personalizing services that inspire and provide venues that reflect the lifestyle and beliefs of the individuals.
  • Spent years enjoying volunteer work as a Treasurer with Brighton Minor Hockey, Treasurer of the Home and School Association of the Brighton Public School, Breakfast Coordinator of Prince Charles Public School and was a Chair/Treasurer for the Trenton Adult Learner Centre. Sunday School Teacher, Greeter and sat on the Church Council.
  • Personally I love boating, swimming, music, travel but mostly spending quality time with family and friends.
